Synopsis :
Sang-Yeol (Lim Chang Jung) isn't particularly attractive, possesses a college degree or has any sense for fashion. He works as a model for a home shopping channel, specifically for kitchen products. Sang-Yeol also has a mad crush on popular model So-Yeon (Kim Gyu-Ri), who also works for the home shopping channel. Unfortunately, So-Yeon dislikes Sang-Yeol.

Synopsis :
When her Taiwanese husband dies, Yumiko (Ono Machiko) goes to his hometown with their two sons with his ashes. In an environment completely different than their own, the children wander around town as they try to deal with culture shock and their father’s death at once. Synopsis :
Sang Pencerah sendiri memulai perjalanan kisahnya dengan menilik kelahiran seorang bayi laki-laki bernama Muhammad Darwis di dalam sebuah keluarga Jawa yang memiliki latar belakang lingkungan beragama Islam yang sangat kuat. Dalam pertumbuhannya, Darwis remaja (Ihsan Tarore) sering merasa aneh dengan kebiasaan lingkungannya yang seringkali mencampuradukkan kegiatan agama dengan berbagai kegiatan yang berbau mistis. Hal inilah yang kemudian menarik perhatian Darwis untuk mempelajari Islam lebih lanjut. Di usianya yang ke-15, Darwis, dengan seizin orangtuanya, pergi ke Mekkah untuk menunaikan ibadah haji, sekaligus mempelajari Islam langsung di tempat kelahiran agama tersebut.

Lima tahun berselang, Darwis dewasa (Lukman Sardi) kembali ke kampung halamannya di Yogyakarta. Sesuai dengan kebiasaan mereka yang baru kembali dari Mekkah saat itu, Darwis merubah namanya menjadi Ahmad Dahlan. Kondisi lingkungannya sendiri, yang saat itu berada di bawah bayang-bayang penjajahan Belanda, masih sama dengan ketika ia meninggalkan Yogyakarta. Banyak ajaran Islam yang dalam pelaksanaannya semakin melenceng dari apa yang telah disuratkan dalam Al-Qur’an maupun Al-Hadits. Tak tinggal diam, Ahmad Dahlan mulai secara perlahan menyadarkan masyarakat sekitar mengenai kesalahan yang telah mereka lakukan.

Tentu saja, merubah sesuatu hal yang telah menjadi semacam adat di dalam sebuah kelompok bukanlah hal yang mudah untuk dilakukan. Ahmad Dahlan sendiri sempat mendapatkan kecaman dari seorang kyai penjaga tradisi, Kyai Penghulu Kamaludiningrat (Slamet Rahardjo), bahkan sering dituding sebagai seorang kyai yang sesat. Namun atas dukungan penuh istrinya, Siti Walidah (Zaskia Adya Mecca), keluarga, dan beberapa orang murid setianya, Ahmad Dahlan terus berusaha menegakkan akidah, termasuk dengan bekerjasama dengan organisasi modern yang banyak dinilai merupakan kelompok kafir oleh lingkungannya.
